Full face masks enclose the entire face and thus protect the eyes at the same time. The sealing line runs across the forehead, cheeks and below the chin. Full-face masks are usually equipped with inner masks, which on the one hand keep the mask dead space (reducing the accumulation of used breathing air) low, and on the other hand prevent the viewing windows from fogging up due to the airflow.
Full-face masks are divided into 3 classes according to DIN EN 136, which fulfill the same respiratory protection function (e.g. permissible total leakage), but show significant differences in terms of mechanical strength, resistance to the effects of flames and thermal radiation.Classification:
Class 1: Full face masks for low exposure applications,
Class 2: full face masks for normal applications
Class 3: Full-face masks for special applications with the highest stress.
The lowest requirements are placed on full-face masks of Class 1. Here, the requirements regarding the tensile strength of the device connector, the strap and the exhalation valve as well as the flame resistance are significantly reduced. In order to exclude dangerous combinations in operational practice, full-face masks of Class 1 must not be equipped with standardized connection threads according to DIN EN 148 Parts 1 to 3.
Full-face masks of Class 2 differ from those of Class 3 only in that they are less resistant (especially the visor) to thermal radiation. The highest requirements are placed on full-face masks of class 3, which are used e.g. by fire departments as well as mine and gas protection brigades.
Masks of all 3 classes can be fitted with optical vision aids, e.g. mask goggles, for spectacle wearers. Goggles with temples are unsuitable for use under a full-face mask.

The new PM full face mask Panarea made of silicone offers a maximum of wearing comfort. Sundström full face mask SR200
This lightweight full face mask is made of silicone, molded directly in one piece, which increases the tightness. The mask is available with two different headgear materials. Low breathing resistance is ensured by two exhalation valves. Another special feature is the visor, which directs part of the exhaled air to the outside, preventing the visor from fogging up.

Scott full face mask Vision
The Vision2 full face mask offers maximum comfort and is very popular with wearers, especially because this mask is suitable for a wide range of applications.
The visor of the Vision2 full face mask features a virtually unrestricted visor size with its 98% field of view. It curves over both the vertical and horizontal surfaces; however, there is of course no distortion of the field of view.
The filters are mounted low and close to the face, providing excellent balance and weight distribution. The mask body is made of liquid silicone (LSR), which is a silicone rubber that combines the comfortable wearing properties and suppleness of silicone with durability and a long service life.
