Fresh-air self-contained breathing apparatuses are used primarily in contaminated or low-oxygen work areas where the use of normal filter breathing apparatus is not possible or a supply of breathing air cannot be established via compressed air. In this case, the required breathing air is supplied to the breathing connection from an area outside the contaminated ambient atmosphere via supply hoses.

With the e-breathe fresh air pressure hose unit, the breathing of the wearer is supported by means of a respiratory protection blower and the wearer is thus relieved. The respirator blower is positioned and attached to the end of the hose in an area free of respiratory toxins. The blower then feeds breathable air into the wearer’s full-face mask via the connected breathing hose. This provides the full-face mask with a constant positive pressure of breathable air.
