Beyond caring for the health of our customers, it is our concern to contribute to the preservation of the environment – we are committed to this. Sustainability is a decisive criterion in the selection of our product portfolio and in the production of our own articles. Responsible action begins on a small scale. If everyone pays attention to the respectful use of resources within the scope of their possibilities, a lot has already been achieved. We try to make our contribution and not only demand sustainability, but also fill the term with life.
All employees at PM Atemschutz consciously pay attention to the careful use of resources. This starts with the procurement of environmentally friendly working materials and machines, extends to consumption – we only print what is necessary, do not waste energy and water – and ends with waste avoidance and waste separation.
Sustainability is an important issue in the selection of our suppliers and products, but we also focus on sustainable solutions and production processes in product development.
With our maintenance and repair service, we extend the service life of the equipment. In addition, we take back old equipment and ensure proper disposal.

Our packaging is recyclable, that is standard.
We use reusable packaging and also use it several times. In addition, we use all cardboard boxes that we receive from dealers and service providers. So if you receive a package from PM Atemschutz that is not printed with our company logo, but possibly even with someone else’s logo, this is a cost-saving measure: we save packaging waste!
Our projects
We take numerous measures to reduce our energy consumption. For a visible and measurable statement, we rely on the power of the sun for our energy generation. That is why there is a photovoltaic system on the roof of our company building that supplies the entire building with energy. Energy generated in excess of our requirements is fed directly into the local power grid.
We are committed to the development of sustainable products in the PPE sector and promote sustainable product solutions. For example, the e-breathe ecoPAD, a sustainable filter concept in which only the filter medium is replaced and, unlike a conventional filter, the filter housing can be reused. With a conventional particulate filter, 85g of plastic are saved by using the ecoPAD compared to a standard filter. With an annual market consumption of around 2 million particulate filters, this corresponds to 170 tons of plastic waste.
We want to make a clear statement in terms of sustainability and ecology. That is why we are not only relying on sustainable and resource-saving construction methods for the new building of our company headquarters, but are also placing a special focus on future-oriented mobility, an energy-efficient building concept with the installation of a photovoltaic system, wild bed planting to increase urban biodiversity, as well as workplace design measures to promote the well-being and health of our employees.
Our values
Together we are stronger. That is why we are involved in associations and projects together with other companies and promote the further development of the PPE market and are a member of the standardization committee.
Membership in IVPS
PM Atemschutz is a member of the Interest Group for Personal Protective Equipment. Together with its 27 member companies, covering all sub-sectors of the PPE market, the IVPS represents the voice of the industry and coordinates, promotes and represents the common industry-oriented and cross-industry standardization interests of its members.

PM Atemschutz is a member of the standardization committee and supports the technical work of standardization in working committees or committees.
